The Simple Womans Day Book

Outside My Window: SUN! Glorious SUN! The rest of the week indicates SUN!

I am hearing: What does 3 pennies make? Hundreds of questions about money and addition. Have I mentioned that this kid of mine asks the WHY or WHAT DOES THAT MEAN questions non stop daily? Some of his questions are adorable others not so much. Stay tuned for a T-13 list of some of my favorites in the near future.

I am thinking: Chocolate anniversary cake is delicious no matter how "wreckie". On a side note of the cake, it really wasn't as wrecky as I reported, only just half a ton of icing pink flowers with these silver leaves and pink sprinkles. I have seen worse. Pics as soon as my mom gets them developed (yes I know, she hasn't quite mastered the digital age yet) and e-mailed to me.

I am hoping: The weather stays pleasant for awhile.

From the kitchen: The hubs is out of pocket this week, which means kid friendly- don't have to try very hard dinners.
Monday- baked chicken strips
Tuesday-Spaghetti
Wednesday-fish sticks
Thursday- Grocery day
Friday-?

I'm reading: The Host and still loving it. It has gotten to that point where I can't put it down as it rolls to the end. It's a love/hate relationship with books like this, as you absolutely must keep reading to know what happens next, but at the same time you hate for it to end.

I am creating: Summer plans/schedules for the kids. I'm not just going to let them hang loose around the house all summer. It's going to be interesting for me and them as this is the first summer that I'm "camp counselor" and have to entertain, feed, and educate all day. I'm really hoping I can stick with my guns and go with the schedule. Kids need structure, ya know?

Around the house: I have to clean out the hubs 'burb this week. He is going to a work retreat at the big cheese's ranch. The problem is the big cheese does not have enough rooms at his guest ranch house for everyone, so some of the guys have volunteered to sleep in their cars, the hubs included. Let's just say this is going to be quite a challenge as we never really officially removed everything out of the 'burb from the move. Plus it's just nasty junkie in there.

Plans for the week: It's a busy week this week with school winding slowly down. I'm hoping Laurie and I are going on our IKEA Vlog adventure soon. Also Gameboy has his music performance Tuesday, field day is Thursday, and they finally set up kindergarten round up for this week. Have you noticed that there is not a word of swine flu mentioned whatsoever? It's like it never even happened.

One of my favorite things: The hubs and I went to see Star Trek over the weekend. The hotties in the movie for Captain Kirk and Spock made the movie extra enjoyable. I'm not a big Trekkie fan at all, but this one I really enjoyed. I'm thinking because it was more modern and told how the crew came together and they were young and hot and well, hot..I mentioned that already didn't I?

A Picture Thought: We recycle!

The Simple Womans Day Book

Oustside My Window:

It is chili and windy. What happened to spring, it's like it doesn't even exist here?
I can deal with the cooler temps, it's the wind that is driving me crazy.

I am hearing:

I'm hearing Bossyboy singing the Sponge Bob theme song. I love that kid..he cracks me up.
I am thinking:
I've got a lot to do this week to prepare for Easter and Birthday celebration 2. I'm also thinking that I'm going to have to hide the basket full of eggs/candy from the Easter hunt. Have I mentioned that when Bossy Boy was 2 he ate every single piece of candy in all 3 Easter baskets? There wasn't a lot but more than enough for a 2 yr old. Since the hunt on Saturday, he asks if he can open every single egg and "look" at the candy. This doesn't last long until he's finally begging for just one piece.

I am thankful for:
Warm sweats and cozy socks..though I'd be more thankful for a nice spring day with no wind..please?

I am hoping: To get all of our taxes done and pray we don't owe...to much.

From The Kitchen;
This week is going to be pretty simple. The hubs is going out of town again.
Monday: Pizza- I had leftover supplies from the slumber party, might as well put it to use.
Tuesday: Hamburger helper
Wednesday: Chicken Nuggets for the boys and Chicken Fajita Soup for me.
Thursday: Grocery day..
Friday: I'm making chicken scallopine My MIL is coming down and this just looks like something you would fix for company.
I'm really debating if I want to make yet another ham for Easter dinner. I'd rather do something different but nothing to fancy or crazy or complicated.

I am reading: A Prayer For Owen Meany- This one is going on my top ten. I love the characters, love the story, love the humor. I haven't LOLed reading a book in a long time. I had no idea what to expect with this book. I love grabbing a book that I've only heard good things about but never read the summary and then end up loving it. That's been happening a lot here lately.
The Red Tent is patiently waiting for me at the library, so I'll dive into it soon.

I am creating: A big mess of clipping coupons. I'm really going to try and play the shop and coupon around game to see if it really makes a difference.

Around the house: I've got to put this house back in order again after the weekend and prepare for my parents and MIL to come down this weekend.

One of my favorite things: I did up my toes and nails last night. I just love that nifty Nic Clix nail polish. I'm in dire need to get some more with a different color.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Library tomorrow-we've slacked on the story time thing. Take the taxes in and hold my breath. Grocery shopping. The boys are off school on Friday, when I was working I would take off since the daycare and school would be closed. It was our tradition to dye our eggs this day. That's the plan- minus the taking off work part, don't have to do that. :)

A Picture Thought:
This is my view from the couch every morning. I wish I could some how get a pic when all 3 of us are huddled in a big ball on the couch.

The Simple Womans Day Book

Oustside My Window: It's a gloomy blustery day. I assume we'll get rain but I could be wrong.

I am hearing: The sound of the wind swirling around the houses, a wind chime in the distance, and a crazy monkey running like a banshee outside.

I am thinking: I really do like this little nook where the computer is. I can watch the little monkey running around outside and I just feel content.

I am thankful for: The boys only boy second great cousin (however he's related) who is close enough in age that his mom gives me his hand me downs. I always get way more than I could ever use. Thing is the boys will be 12 before they will fit in half of them.

I am wearing: Sweats and a T-shirt. I'm sorry I didn't put in any extra effort today.

I am hoping: That I survive the next few weeks of birthday extravaganza. Should be fun!

From The Kitchen;
I've got to get back in the groove of actually cooking this week.
Monday: Smothered Steak and scalloped potatoes
Tuesday: I'm making an effort to make calzones. We'll see how that goes.
Wednesday: Mac & Cheese
Thursday: Egg Sandwiches
Friday: Order Pizza
Can you guess which days the hubs will be out of town?

I am reading: I'm still reading One Hundred Years of Solitude. I know, I'm slow. I am almost done, like a hundred pages left. I really do like the story. I've learned that you have to just get over the names and enjoy the epicness (I know it's not a word -pfft spell checker) of the story itself. It makes me think of just sitting down and hearing someone tell you a story, it could even be a story you've heard a million times but the way the story teller tells it, it just lures you in.

I am creating: Very little at the moment.

Around the house:
Hopefully I will have a Tackle it Tuesday to share. I'm overdue.

One of my favorite things: Finding almost a thousand old pictures and showing the boys.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
-Hopefully a tackle or two around the house.
-Friday is the birthday sleepover. Luckily he only wants to invite one or two friends (my sanity couldn't take anymore). Love that boys are easy to please and really just want to hang out and play. I also plan to do a big ice cream sundae buffet in lieu of birthday cake. We will be caked out before April is over.

A Picture Thought:
Oh you know I'm going to lay on the pics this week. -
Since my unique way of naming pics back then, involved only putting the date...I'm just going to pic one at random. This should be interesting.
8-12-06
I'm trying to figure out why my mom's flower bed is covered in fall leaves in August?

The Simple Woman's Day Book

Oustside My Window: It's been a very dreary windy day. Though it was nice that it was still daylight when the hubs got home.

I am hearing: Madden Football on the Wii. There's always someone of the male species playing video games in this house.

I am thinking: A few things... I think my header/3 columns may be a bit squishy and busy. I can't decide what do and if I should make a new header just slightly less busy. I'm also thinking a Dr. Pepper would be so tasty nasty right now.

I am thankful for: the library and "free" books. I'm not sure my sanity could take it at this point without books and no T.V.

I am wearing: jeans and my Wii boogy shirt that I won with my Wii Boogy game last year.

I am hoping: That we do actually get some decent rain that is expected this week. I'm sure the only reason it's coming is because I finally set the timer for the sprinkler last week.

From The Kitchen;
Yesterday we had this Pasta Fagoli Soup which is supposed to be like the soup from Olive Garden. I will say it was quite hardy and yummy. It was a little bit thicker than soup to me and more like a goulash, this could have been because I did it on the stove and not in the crock pot. The hubs..I mean Clayton could not get enough of it and it makes a ton!
Monday: Chicken Fried Rice
Tuesday: Frozen Pizza
Wednesday: Spaghetti
Thursday and Friday are to be determined until I get to the store.
I am reading:
Just got back from the library and picked up Memoirs of a Geisha and One Hundred Years of Solitude. I haven't heard much of the last one, other than it was on the Facebook 100 reads. It happened to be in the same section as Memoirs so I grabbed it. I feel some heavy reads coming on and also grabbed The Choice by Nicolas Sparks. I figured I'll need a good feel good make you cry book after the heavy reading. Sparks usually does that for me.

I am creating: We created a little cotton ball sheep today, while talking about March coming in like a lion and out like a lamb. Yes, I'm still getting down with my home school self. How productive I've been is another story.

Around the house:
The boys are going to grandmas next week for Spring break, I've been making lists for each room in the house and exactly what needs to be done for Spring cleaning. I'm having serious doubts that I will complete the whole house. At least my intentions should be worth something right?

One of my favorite things: I won an Amazon gift card from Sarah at BecomingSarah. Why is it that when I'm just browsing around for the heck of it I find a ton of things I want but will never buy, yet I win "free money" and I can't think of a dang thing to buy? I caved and got Apples to Apples for 7 and up. I also downloaded some mp3's with what was left. I can't wait to play as I've heard this game is a lot of fun

A few plans for the rest of the week: This week is actually a busy week...at least for us. Tomorrow is Open House at the school (Is it me or does it seem strange that Open House is in March?) Wednesday- Wonderboy has an eye appointment..his first since the move. You know it's a pain in the behind to get a referral from the former doc and then make an appointment and explain that he's not just a random kid off the street that needs his eyes checked since his are of the crossing variety.
The former doctors office was nice enough to give me his "condition" for the new doctor. Now, I've taken medical terminology, oh a half a million years ago, so you would think that I should be able to speak the lingo. Uh.. that would be a negative. I felt idiotic trying to tell the new receptionist with out getting tongue tied.. She at least knew right off what I was trying to say. Hopefully the new doc won't hee haw around about surgery and be straight with me on whether he needs it or not.

I didn't mean to make this post a random rambling. Wait, that's the whole reason I do this meme since it fulfills my random need and puts it in a nice orderly format. To bad I still ramble on randomly.

A Picture Thought:
How about a random pic to go along with a random post? I'm still trying to meet my Wonderboy quota for the month, since I always seem to forget him. Your probably thinking how sad that he has to be thrown in with a rambling post and you would be correct, it is sad. It is what is though.

The Simple Woman's Day Book

Oustside My Window: It's getting dusky. It was a pleasant day despite the wind. The wind is just never ending here.

I am hearing: Children playing the Lego Batman. They finished homework and chores early and I really wanted to finish my book.

I am thinking:I've got a few random thoughts floating so bear with me. First I'm trying to just wrap my brain around the book Wicked. I never imagined it was such a heavy read. Good but heavy and very thought provoking. I'm wondering if the musical came first or the book? Cause I can't imagine how they would do a musical based on the book? I see at the top that it says "Inspired the hit broadway musical" I'm going to guess "inspire" means very loosely based.
Secondly: If some day in the long future I decide to finally get my own URL and possibly hubby self host me...yes he does that I personally don't get it but whatev, as long as I can stick with Blogger. The old dog new tricks saying. What was I saying? My own URL... I came up with the greatest blog name ever, at least for me. "Method To My Madness" or "Method To My Randomness". I know it's not momma bloggerish per say but I like them, and maybe some day. Which reminds me I want to check GoDaddy just for fun. You would follow along with me right?

I am thankful for: Hubs great company. Their limping along but still reassuring their employees. Thankful fo hubs who is brilliant and feeds the CEO out of the box money making ideas for the company. Thankful for a CEO that actually listens to his employees, who's office is not secluded somewhere away from everyone but right smack in the middle with all the other cubicles. He is always freely open to anyone and doesn't appear unapproachable.

I am wearing: Oh here we go, jeans with a hole the size of a quarter right on my upper left tush and a OU shirt. This my friends is my good jeans. :(

I am hoping: to make a run to Kohls sometime this week to get something halfway decent, that's not to dressy or to frumpy for my big date. Something tells me holey jeans will not be part of the dress code.

From The Kitchen;
Monday-Meatloaf and mashed potatoes ( Have you tried the Ore Rida steamers? Greatest thing since sliced bread. Their basically frozen boiled sliced potatoes that you nuke in the microwave. Add the basic stuff you use for regular mashed potatoes, mash and you've got awesome mashed potatoes in half the time and no lumps! -No Ore Rida did not pay me for this promotion but they did send me a free coupon to try.)

I am reading: I just finished Wicked. I'm glad it's over, it was a good heavy read but I'm ready to move on. I think I'm gonna go with Lion, Witch and Wardrobe and maybe grab book 4 of the Narnia series. Depending on my mood. I also want to reserve the Book Thief, I heard that was a great read.

I am creating:
Meatloaf in the oven? I don't foresee any creativity this week.
Around the house:
I cleaned two of the three boys room last week so it's only obvious that I do the oldest this week. Didn't I just do his room after painting? I think so.

One of my favorite things: I'm ashamed to admit this, but I'm saying it anyway. I tried the Tostino's Spinach dip last week (who knew they made spinach dip?) I cleared the whole jar by myself in just a few days. We also got our Girl Scout Cookie's in and dang I love those Samoas. I bought two boxes and I'm not willing to share.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
I'm celebrating my own personal Mardi Gras today and tomorrow. I plan on going really strict on myself on the sweets and Dr. Pepper after Tuesday. More water more veggies. I've also been doing some free weights and using the Ab Lounger. I plan to keep this going for the rest of Lent. I'm actually impressing myself and maybe trying to rid the guilt by lifting and abing consistently here lately.
A Picture Thought:

This kid could eat PBJ everyday for the rest of his life. At least he's getting the hang of making it himself when momma doesn't make it right.

I hope you were able to stick with me on this one, cause I think I lost myself re reading it.

The Simple Woman's Day Book

Oustside My Window: Very mild and sunny

I am hearing: I'm hearing a 4 year old continually ask me what I like to do. Mommy likes to blog...so there ya go. Also hearing dogs play fighting each other.

I am thinking: Mondays are never very productive days for me. I think after having the house decently clean by Friday and then it turns to a total pit by Monday. I don't want to do anything else but veg on Mondays.

I am thankful for: these kids of mine and their overall good health.(knock on wood)

I am wearing” jeans, and again one of my ever famous E.J. shirts. My originality ceases to exist.

I am hoping: That our four legged visitor finds a home and not ours.

From The Kitchen; We got a ham shortly after New Years so that's the main thing on the menu this week. I should have known that the only time hubs goes to the grocery store, he has to get the biggest ham he can find.
Monday: Crockpot Tilapia
Tuesday- Ham Casserole
Wednesday- Frozen Pizza
Thursday-Ham and Beans with corn bread
Friday-Leftovers

I am reading: Still reading Wicked. Just taking my time..I'm in no big hurry.

I am creating: nothing really- a clean house?, clean yard? I did create my nifty new header. Don't even ask how I did it..it just kind of accidentally happened. Love it when that happens.

Around the house:I'm planning to clean out dresser drawers this week. The kids have just been stuffing clothes, toys and whatever, in their drawers when cleaning their rooms. Drives me crazy.

One of my favorite things: The hubs finally caved and took me to the mall for Valentines to spend my CP gift card. Of course all the clearance stuff was pretty much gone. I would have loved to have gotten good stuff online but they don't take their gift card online, which does not make sense. Now you guys are probably so relieved that I will not whine ever again about using this gift card.
I also got some more bath and body stuff. I was in dire need of some. I came this close to getting Guitar Hero Arrowsmith as it was on sale...but decided not to. How did the favorite things section turn in to a ramble fest? Of course, because that's how I roll.

A few plans for the rest of the week: I'm planning to go tomorrow to the Autism support group. I have absolutely no excuse not to go. Plus I want to prove the hubs wrong, as he thinks I will chicken out.

A Picture Thought: Love this pic of Bossyboy and Annie. This is our coffe table that lifts up like a T.V. tray aka my computer desk. They love to hang out under neath.

The Simple Woman's Day Book

Oustside My Window:
It's sunny and windy and I promised the boys we'd go to the park..you know..soon like when mommy finishes catching up on blogs since she was gone resting from a long trip.

I am hearing: Madden Football on the Wii.

I am thinking: A lot of things at the moment: Can we hold off one more day to go to the grocery store even though we have nothing in the house but a frozen whole ham, one chicken breast, and a little bit of bacon? My house is a pit from the two bachelors that lived it up all weekend, I'll be glad for Tuesday when things are back to "normal" and do these kids ever go to school cause it's starting to seem like never?

I am thankful for: A safe return. Big Bertha was a bit jerky during the gear shifting. Which is probably not good.

I am wearing: jeans and admittedly an OU shirt. Yes I hang my head in shame and have short term memory.

I am hoping: To use this Children's Place gift card eventually. I had high hopes of a little shopping extravaganza with my mom at the mall. I came home empty handed. I hate to say this, but the great state of Oklahoma is in a rut. It seems like everything is closing down. The mall we went to had nothing and was pretty much just a hang out for teens and toddlers. They did have a play area and merry go round but that was about it. At least the youngest two had a good time for a short time. We were going to just head to Tarjay or Kohl's but for the first time ever I was so bummed that I decided it best we just head back home. I didn't want to actually spend my own money since I have this dang card burning a hole.

From The Kitchen; I just haphazardly made the list for the week like 10 minutes ago-
Monday-Random stuff like dog food or maybe Ramen soup cause I really don't want to go to the store tonight.
Tuesday-Good old faithful spaghetti
Wednesday-Chicken Tacos and/or chicken tortilla soup
Thursday-Chicken Fried Steak
Friday-Cola Ham

I am reading: Wicked The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire. I'm really enjoying it. I'd love to see the play.

I am creating: I made these bookworm bookmarks Friday for Wonder Boy's class as his Valentines. They turned out pretty cute. I just hope they know their book marks. (Can you tell I'm trying to make up for that concert thing?)

Around the house: I'm not even going to mention the state of my house. Yet I feel vegging on the blog is so much more important. Besides what would I do the rest of the week?

One of my favorite things: Was just chilling out on my parents front porch not worrying about dishes, laundry, or even kids. It was always my favorite place to sit and day dream for as long as possible. That's about the excitement of my weekend.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Getting stuff mailed out-giveaways and Valentines and all that fun stuff. I have no plans for Valentines at all. I'm not even going to mention it to the hubs. He's probably clueless. It really helps him since he gets no advertising reminders from the T.V. Maybe in my own weird way, I'm testing him to see if he really does forget. So I can play the guilt game and make him take us to eat Sunday..when I remind him. Not that I would do that or anything.

A Picture Thought: I haven't really had a "photo session" with the kids lately. This is Game Boy horsing around.

A Simple Womans Day Book

Oustside My Window: The 70 degree weather has completely gone and we are now down to 30 something with possible freeing rain and yuck tomorrow. You know the saying "If you don't like the weather in Texas, stick around 5 minutes and it will change."

I am hearing: Brother Bear 2. We haven't seen this one in a very long time. Change is good.

I am thinking: My children are driving me up the wall and they've only been home for 45 minutes.

I am thankful for: mmm...my thankful tank is getting close to E. I'm thankful my dryer is actually working decently for a change. I have no idea why the change.

I am wearing: Black slacks and a blue ribbed turtle neck. This is my way of dressing up when going to lunch with the hubs. I know I'm such a fashionista.

I am hoping: To win some Giveaways at the Bloggy Giveaway carnival. I advise you all to take the evening off and get to commenting and winning some great stuff. Oh and btw I will be having some giveaways going myself here shortly, so look for that.

From The Kitchen;
Monday: Left over Indian Tacos. Remember my yearning for some Indian Tacos at the state fair? Found a pretty decent recipe. The link actually goes to a site describing exactly what it is and includes the recipe for the meat and bread. This isn't the recipe I used and now I can't find it at AllRecipes, which figures. The meat recipe in this one didn't have ranch style beans in it, which I think is essential.
Tuesday: Broccoli Cheese Soup
Wednesday: Pork Chops and green beans
Thursday: PW's lasagna. I didn't get to it last week forgot a key ingredient called cottage cheese. Doh!
Friday: Leftovers or whatever

I am reading: Trading Dreams At Midnight. It's ok and I'm getting through it slowly. I'm really considering picking up the first Twilight book again. I know it's an addiction.

I am creating: Nothing really unless you call organizing the junk drawer and planning on rearranging the furniture soon. Hubs wants too, sigh! Oh and then there's the going over the finances thing. Yawn...

Around the house: I probably could have mentioned some of the above things in this one. Oh well.

One of my favorite things: The Bloggy Giveaways this week is one of my most favorite time wasting things going this week. I admit I can be shallow some times.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Adding new giveaways everyday. Hopefully. Get to cracking on the home school preschool thing. We've kind of been slacking. He learns so fast. I'm almost afraid he might get bored in kindergarten, since we go through things so quickly and he just gets it. I also guess I'll rearrange the furniture for hubs too. Woot!

A Picture Thought: Totally random pic. The oldest likes to grab the camera and just shoot. As you can tell I'm still on my OU strike. Just in case you were curious. :)

A Simple Womans Day Book

Outside My Window: It's very sunny and breezy. It's pleasant. Sorry cold weather friends.

I Am Hearing: Lego Star Wars and children yelling "Use the force!" A not so typical Monday afternoon, since we normally ban the Wii during the week. Kids were out of school today and they lasted all day with out the Wii. So of course I caved.

I Am Thinking: I've got to start dinner soon.

I Am Thankful: For our freedom and our country no matter our differences. That this week seems like a hopeful and historical week for our country. It's actually really made me a tad bit excited and very hopeful.

I Am Wearing: My sisters Oklahoma State shirt. I'm protesting wearing OU as long as I can, which won't be long as half my t-shirt wardrobe is OU. I may jump on the OSU fan bandwagon..at least until football season starts again. At least when they lose it won't break my heart as bad.

I AM Hoping: For unity and harmony for our new president. We'll see how that goes. I'm also hoping to take another stab at a red velvet cake tomorrow. My random thoughts know no bounds...

From The Kitchen:
Monday- Hamburger steak, mashed potatoes (totally the fake ones I wont lie), and glazed carrots.
Tuesday- Broccoli Cheese Soup
Wednesday-Chicken and rice casserole (off the campbells soup can of course)
Thursday- P.W's lasagna I'm overdue in making it and gosh dang it, it's good.
Friday-Leftovers or egg sandwiches

I AM Reading; I still haven't gotten to the library to pick me something up. I'm having with drawls. Any suggestions? I think I want something light and enjoyable, not a heavy read like Twilight.

I AM Creating: Today the kids wrote a letter to Barack Obama for a possible chance for it to be entered in a book that will be given to Obama. You can check out the details at KidThing. I may not get them sent off but I thought it was a neat thing to do today. I wanted to see what the boys think of the next president and how they'd like him to take care of our country. I will post their letters tomorrow. Their very interesting to say the least.

AROUND THE HOUSE: Toys and clutter all over the place. I can imagine that this will be the norm during the summer time. Why I'm thinking summer now, I have no idea.

One of my favorite things: Talking hubby into taking me out for Mexican food. He's not really big into sit down Mexican food and would rather just make a run to Taco Hell. It takes a lot of convincing for him to go. I felt I deserved Mexican this week after my hormonal baby drama issues.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: I plan to watch as much of the events of the inauguration as I can tomorrow. Thank goodness for CNN live so I can watch it online. I have a $30 Children's Place gift card burning a hole in my pocket and hubs said we'd all go to the mall on Friday. I'm hoping there's still some good clearance stuff left. It really doesn't take much to thrill me.

A Picture Thought: Feather tagged me for the random 6th folder 6 picture meme. I thought I'd randomly place it here since I haven't taken any pics lately. See how I kill two birds with one stone?
My 6th folder is actually my Microsoft clip art folder so I skipped to the 5th folder which is my Oldies pic folder. I don't have a precise organizational method to my madness when it comes to organizing photos. The sixth pic is an out take photo of our 07 Christmas Card. It kinda makes me laugh.

A Simple Womans Day Book

Outside My Window: We actually got some sleet this morning. We even have icicles hanging from the grill.

I am hearing: total silence except for the hum of the heater and pitter patter of typing fingers. It's pure bliss.

I am wearing: comfy kahki like pants, a long sleeve white tee and my sisters OSU Cowboys t-shirt.

I am hoping: that we find out whats wrong with the mom mobile and that it won't cost an arm and a leg to fix it. We think it's electrical issues and the fact that even after driving it for over an hour the engine temperature still registers at cold.

From the kitchen: I made smothered steak but we ended up going out to eat for pizza, since we absolutely had to go grocery shopping tonight. It's really sad when the only beverage left in the house was water and booze. I was lucky enough to find a water bottle to go packet in raspberry flavor and told the boys it was kool aid.

MPM for the Week:
Sunday: Spaghetti
Monday: Smothered Steak pizza
Tuesday: Smothered Steak with scalloped potatoes and green beans
Wednesday: Chimichangas
Thursday: Hamburger Helper and corn
Friday: Chili Hot Dogs

I am reading: Breaking Dawn of course

I am creating: If you call still painting GB's walls creating. I've made a mountain into a mole hill with this little project. I ran out of his color paint. I decided to use the left over paint from the living room. The two colors are not quite the same. One is more grayish the other more blue. I figure it wouldn't make to much difference and all I had left was the tops and bottoms of the walls. Needless to say it doesn't look great. My plan is to go ahead and completely re paint this wall. I figure it will be an accent color. Gulp. I'm so tired of painting and I just want it done at this point. The poor kid has been sleeping with his brothers for days now.

Around the house: The painting has been the main highlight around the house this week. Tomorrow the kids go back to school and I hope to get a few things done. I think Bossyboy is ready to dive back into more pre school stuff as well.

One of my favorite things: Just enjoying my newly painted living room.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Finish up the bedroom and get everything back together. Hubs has also promoted me to CFO of the household so I have to go through and do up the budget/bills. To bad there's no pay increase for CFO, than again I'm still waiting on my new job pay check. ;)

Picture Thought: We have been playing the heck out of Hulaballoo lately. I wasn't sure the kids would dig it but they love it. Even though it's targeted for the preschool set, the big boys love it too. I'm all for anything that gets them up and moving around and just being silly.

I think I'm going to keep with this meme on Mondays along with MPM. It beats the heck out of random, right? Though we must never give up the random.
