The boys all picked a number between 1 and 157. I then put the chosen numbers into a math problem for Gameboy to solve. I'm trying to think of different ways to help apply math problems for the TAKS.

Here was the problem in case your just fascinated to know.

Gameboy had 90 Pokemon cards. He gave 16 to Wonderboy and then won 5 more in a Pokemon battle. How many Pokemon did Gameboy have? The answer he got was 79.

Congrats to Lisa who won by default. Number 79 did not have profile information. :( It's a sad day and makes the Baby Jesus cry. Congrats to Lisa though! She has already been contacted.

It's time for the quarterly giveaways at Bloggy Giveaways. I honestly didn't think I would do a giveaway this time as I didn't really have anything that I could think of and I'm notoriously a procrastinator in getting it out in the mail.

Then it came to me. I have been doing a plethora of posts on birthdays, which I'm sure has bored everyone to tears. I may get to a real post eventually. Upon happen stance I have an extra $5.00 Sonic gift card that was a left over prize from the Fear Factor birthday.

So far I've had 155 comments on this precious little gift card. You guy would have thought I was giving away a Ipod or something even more spectacular. I am however thrilled that your thrilled for the greatness that is Sonic however much the amount.
I have also been intrigued by your drinks of choice. Since I've actually had some spare time here at work..ahem.. anyways..I went through all the comments and tallied up the votes count. The most popular drink would be the Cherry Limeade with a count of 21. Second place goes to Strawberry Limeade with 7. Of course this could all change overnight if I get a major bum rush of comments in before tomorrow's deadline of sometime tomorrow.
I also found some very very interesting choices of drink that I would never ever am intrigued to try. The elusive Blue Cream Coconut Slush had 3 requests. Orange Cherry Sprite...very interesting. There was the random addition of chocolate to a carbonated beverage. I'm sure that chocolate goes perfectly with just about everything but in your soda? I'm not so sure. Is it like actual chocolate syrup like what you would put in chocolate milk? Inquiring minds want to know.
Silly mentioned Sonics Ice! She couldn't be more right about Sonics ice, I believe it's what makes Sonic Sonic. When I was preg with Gameboy that was what I craved Sonic Ice. Hubs would buy me a bag. When our ice machine went out these last couple of months that's where I'd get our ice.

Well That Was Fun!

Did you all enjoy the Blog Party? I really enjoyed meeting some new people that had similar ideas, humor, parenting style having all boys, and who just looked fun in general.
I didn't do a lot of digging through the actual party but waited for the party to come to me. I actually liked it that way cause they took the time to stop by and say Hi so I returned the favor and found a few that I really think I will like.

It's a Christmas Miracle!

My boys are not much of the sit down and color type. I think it's a boy thing. Heather at OMSH'ville is having a coloring contest on her blog, so being the giveaway queen that I am, I decided what the hay I'll have them color this and send it on just for fun. I had no clue the boys would actually get excited about it and sit quietly for 30 minutes and color.

Fall Ya'll Giveaway Is Here!!!

The Fall Ya'll Giveaway is here, and I can't be more excited! It really is like Christmas came a little early this year.

I really wanted to capture the essence of Fall and what better way than candles.

I have this set with Apple Cider, Pumpkin Pie, and Golden Peach. They really look divine. I didn't open the pretty box to take a sniff but I'm absolutely sure it totally captures the scent of fall. I also have a large soy candle that is devine but I didn't get to take a picture of it, since I left it at work.

I Heart Ryka!

I figure every mom in the blogosphere has probably won their pair of tennis shoes from the September bazillion shoes a day giveaway. How awesome was Ryka for doing that?

I of course assumed that since Sept. had passed and that sniff it just wasn't meant to be. I was so longing to actually have a pair of nice tennis shoes that did not come from the House of Wal. Then I saw the e-mail today. All I had to see was Ryka, Won, and Giveaway. Needless to say I'm stoked! A perfect belated birthday gift. I can't wait to get them.

Getting Active With The Kids

The blogblast this week from The Parent Bloggers Network is how do you get up and moving with the kids? At first I didn't think I really had anything to offer as I'm not as active as I should be, except for going up and down the stairs a few dozen times a day with or without a 50 pound laundry basket full of clothes. Then it dawned on me our weekly walks races to the convenience store.

Just about once or twice a week the oldest son and I take an evening jaunt to the convenience store for our weekly gamble on the lottery. The store is about a quarter of a mile from the house. Not to far but close enough to give us a destination for a walk. When we round the corner from our house to the main street there's a stretch of empty parking lot that Gameboy and I race each other on foot. Some days I'll let him win if I'm not feeling to energetic. Other times I try to beat him with full force. He's always up for a rematch no matter who wins. This little race gives me just enough boost for my heart without to much exertion. We then get our purchase race back to the other side and walk the rest of the way home.

When he first started asking me to race him I had the typical mom mindset. No that's dangerous or it may have just been my subconsciousness of other people seeing me run, which probably looks like a featherless chicken flailing everywhere. I finally gave in to my competitive spirit and glad I did.

That my friends is my weekly workout session with my kid. We enjoy it and it really does a heart good. Join The Parent Bloggers Network and Ryka who is giving away not only some awesome shoes but an outfit to go with it.
