Some Thoughts On Twilight The Movie

First off, I'm trying to pick myself off the floor as I just checked e-mail and surprise surprise that sneaky L sent "Becky" the blog, so I'm still recovering from her visit to my hacienda. :)

P.S. If you haven't seen/read the movie/book yet, you might want to look the other way.

I was anxious to watch the movie again since I missed what I thought was 15 minutes of it and turned out to be more like 45, when hubs and I went to see it. My oldest actually wanted to watch it with me. He was able to get through the kissie kissie scenes and really liked the movie. The fighting parts were his fave...of course.

-I'm going to admit, I loved the movie more the second round than the first (I'm sure that missing 45 minutes had a lot to do with it) and am so glad that I gave it another shot.

-I did not feel in anyway that the movie was rushed. I'm not sure if this had to do with being in the comfort of my own home and no interruptions or what but I thought it paced out perfectly.

-I am also going to admit that the scene when Edward first came cruising into the cafeteria, I felt like some crazy teen with a huge crush. I could not wipe the chesire cat grin off of my face. I also loved that when Jessica was talking to Bella about Edward having no interest whatsoever in any girl at their school and Edward smiled knowingly. Even though I say all this, I still never pictured Edward this way in the book. He is also just not my type when it comes to the "sexae" hot guy list. (ducks from the boos and hisses)

- Nobody has ever mentioned how hot Dr. Cullen is. Maybe it's because I've always been magnetized to the "older" guy, though the good doctor easily looked thirty something. I pictured him way older and mature looking in the book.

- I still wanted to punch Bella in the face. Her acting still bugged me, as if she was forced to do this and believes she has something better to do.

- I'm almost this close to picking up Twilight again. I'm thinking maybe before New Moon comes out, I'll read Twilight again and then read New Moon after the movie. Just to compare notes.

That is all I can think of at the moment. I am forcing the hubs to watch it with me this time so maybe I'll add some additions.

Maybe I should have asked you first? I am sorry. I laughed so hard that I just had to send it to her because I thought she would enjoy it. You know "Tom" is a big 2 star general these days! I had not talked to "Becky" in a very very long time, so it was good to take a trip down memory lane and also good to reconnect with "Becky". I really am sorry and hope that you are not to mad at me.

I'm glad you finally got to see the whole thing - I can only imagine how rushed it must have felt if you'd missed 45 minutes! Damn!

I thought it was okay. I always prefer the book to the movie. My hubby just finished reading all the books, and he was the one who wanted the movie!

I just read the series last week. We watched the movie last night and I was kinda disappointed. I really really really liked the book and I just felt like so much detail was left out of the movie. I know that is always the case with movies, but I am so detail orientated.... :)

Maybe I will like it better the second time around too! :)
