Hide And Seek Has Gone To The Dogs

A smidge of background info on my dog- Annakin has one of the greatest attributes a person would want in a dog. Besides all the loyalty stuff and following me everywhere I go and being attuned to my emotions and overall well being, he also very rarely barks.
If the mail man or UPS man rings the bell and drops off a package, he goes to the door and gives one bark. I believe it's to basically tell me that the mails here.
If a stranger actually comes to the door for various reasons, like to sell me girl scout cookies or lawn care, he never barks. He might sniff the person annoyingly out of curiosity but he never barks.

Now he will bark if he is trying to communicate to me. Take for instance a few weeks ago, I jumped into the shower while Bossy Boy was watching a DVD. He's 4 and pretty capable of working the DVD player better than I am. While I was in the shower, I heard the dog barking right at the door. I peeked my head out and called to Bossy Boy. Sure enough he was crying as the dog accidentally jumped up at him and knocked him down. He wasn't hurt by any means. I will tell you that I've never been more reassured that I can take a shower, knowing that the dog will let me know if something is wrong.

Yesterday Game Boy and Bossy Boy were playing hide and seek inside the house. There's a lot more options to hide inside our house than our back yard..your options are limited to one side of the house or the other.
Anyways... When Bossy Boy hides he pretty much hides in the same two spots. Behind the couch and in the coat closet. The dog is attuned to his hiding places since that seems to be his normal hang outs when not playing hide and seek. In other words the dog doesn't seemed to be bothered by it.
Game Boy is a little more adventurous and likes to find new exciting places to hide, like my bedroom closet or in the hub's "office". Annakin must know that these places are not normal hangouts for kids or dogs.
The instant Bossy Boy started to look for Game Boy the dog would start barking at Game Boy like crazy. It was hilarious because obviously the dog was giving away his hiding spot. Each time Game Boy would hide somewhere unique, Annakin would instantly start barking at him.
I'm guessing the dog knew that Game Boy had no business being in the places that he was and the dog was letting him know about it. Yet another shameless post to get a cute puppy pic uploaded.

That is so cute. I am amazed at how much personality a little dog can have.
