It's Time For A Silver Lining On My Rain Cloud.

I really am sorry about the previous post. How many times can you say you've lost by a tie? I'm over it now. Life goes on and there's far worse things in this world to cry over than my fantasy land of football.

I checked my e-mail this morning and I finally had won a giveaway! It was something that I have been wanting to win for the boys for awhile. A Leap Frog Didj! The ironic part, is the game that came with it is Hanna Montanna. Stay tuned for Wednesday with how ironic this is. You know what? I don't care. I'm thrilled! The boys haven't really asked for it. Doesn't matter, I think they'll still enjoy it. I've read up on it and it looks like something that's going to allow me to adjust their math levels to what they are learning and I can plug in their spelling words. They play the games and don't even realize their doing stuff that their learning in class. I'm all about them actually learning while their playing plus it's portable which is bonus. (Look at me doing a review for Didj. I don't even have it yet.) Santa must've really known I wanted this one. Thanks Smiling Mom!

This week is all about preparation. I'm getting the house decluttered as much as possible, well the boys rooms primarily. MIL will be coming next Monday and staying through Christmas day and then my parents will tag team and come Christmas day to stay through the night, I'm guessing. They've offered to take the kids back with them depending on the weather. I'm debating if I want to go back with them or actually take my holiday, we'll see. I feel so blessed that the family comes to us for Christmas instead of us driving all over the state to see folks. Our immediate family is most important to see than our extended. We just try to make Christmas as stress free as possible even if it means not seeing the rest of the family. We'll visit them on New Years maybe.

I've also got to grocery shop and make some pie crust. I've never been a pie crust making girl before. I figure I'm a homemaker and homemakers make pie crust..or something like that. I figure it wouldn't hurt to try.

Crap, speaking of "baking" as I was typing the last paragragh, I realized that I had put some cinammon ornaments for the teacher's gifts in the oven to bake. Your supposed to flip them over after an hour. Doh, that was 2 hours ago. I went ahead and flipped them but meh their not so gifty looking any more.

I'm looking forward to finally going Christmas shopping with the MIL next week. I know, talk about last minute. I'm used to it and it's tradition.

We made a gingerbread house. Another first in the WM247 household. Things like this, there just never was time for before. The whole work thing drained me out during the week and the weekend was left to recoop and clean. It's not one of my greatest masterpieces. I always have dancing visions of a beautiful gingerbread house. The kids did their thing and they had fun and I restrained from to much control. That's all that mattered, not so much that it doesn't look like one from the magazine. Yes, I totally used a kit. I'm a homemaker but not that much of a homemaker. Pictures up tomorrow.

Quick question. Does the blog load slow ya'll? I don't have any special apps on it that should make it slow. It loads beautifully for me (I'm on wireless..not that it should make a difference) and I did a free test thingy and it say 312ms for the time. Which sounds pretty good to me...but I'm no guru. Just let know. I'd hate to hinder you all from Pulitzer winning stuff.

That's about enough random for today. Stay warm San Franscico...wait what?

Your blog loads really slow for me and maybe for other readers. I can't see anything! You should check it with a speed test and make sure it's okay.

I haven't noticed it loading slow, but I tend to open tabs from my reader and then go back and read them when I'm done - so they've already loaded, you know?

How did the pie crust come out? I haven't made a home made one yet, so far just the refrigerated pie dough and that was stressful enough! :P

I don't have any trouble with it loading at all. Seems pretty fast to me..but who am I to know?

Good luck on the pie crust. I have never made one myselft. I recently read in a magazine that making homemade pie crusts isn't worth your time anymore. They did some taste test and said that people couldn't tell the difference between the "real" crust and the "others". I guess that took some of my endless "shortcutting" guilt away! I bet yours will be awesome!
