The Blame Game

Hubs is leaving for the UK in a couple of weeks. I hate him. He of course is going on the company dime and it's his first trip across the Atlantic. You needs to know if I had a passport I would have so been going with him, Some how Some way.

Speaking of passports, hubs is beyond paranoid about his. You see a year or so ago I washed his passport. Not just because I thought it needed a good cleaning, but simply because it was in his pocket. If anything brings our marriage down, it will be the whole washing stuff that's in his pockets thing. I don't know how many times I've washed his wallet.

He of course believes that I should check every single article of clothing, as I dump them in the washer. 8 times out of 10 I do. My theory is, if you don't want me to wash whatever it is in your pockets then remove them or better yet wash them your own da** self.

Since the said passport is a bit wrinkled up, but in my opinion it looks fine, the inside is well definable, he's going batty. He's called several passport people and they all have told him most likely it wouldn't fly but they would have to see it first. If things are not acceptable from the passport people at the post office tomorrow, he's going to have to drive to Houston to get it, which is a 3 hour drive. Lucky for him his office is all about paying for a rental car for him to drive there.

He will never let it down all the crap he's had to go through to make sure his passport is in order. You know it's all my fault that it got washed in the first place. I have no energy to go down this argument road again and just shake my head and nod.
I am sorry that he does have to go through a bunch of red tape for his Passport, and do hope that he is able to get out of the country. I just don't really think it's all my fault. Do you think he himself has learned a lesson to never leave stuff in his pockets again? Heck no that would make things to easy.

Yuck, I'm sorry. We don't have *that* argument, but I'm sure we have others you don't have!
I know you'd never hear the end of it, but in some ways it might serve him right if he had to get a new one. I agree, it's his problem to take stuff out of his pockets before he throws it in the wash. Heck, he can remember to take his keys out for the next day can't he?

He's so wrong in this argument. It's his own fault the passport got washed. Period.

I have to agree with Jennifer - he's a big boy, now start acting like it. (From a woman who's been married 17 years and DON'T take that crap from her husband, period).
