Spring Reading Thing

This my first blog carnival and I'm really excited to join in ecspecially one near and dear to me as reading. Katrina at callapidderdays is hosting a Spring Reading Thing from now until June.
I just started this blog literally this month and am still getting things organized, but I had to jump in on this.
Here's my list short and sweet. I don't want to overwhelm myself as June does not seem that far away.
-We Were The Mulvaneys By Joyce Carol Oates I'm half way through this one and had to stop its ok but isn't holding my interest.
-The Memory Keepers Daughter By Kim Edwards
-The Bell Jar-By Sylvia Plath
-The Kite Runner-By Khaled Hosseini
I want to also atleast read one chapter book to my boys. We kinda got out of the habit and they have been just reading on their on. Were going to start with The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkein and if they want to continue the series we'll do that.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Seeing as how I haven't had anyone view my blog as of yet. I've been a little shy to spread the word.
I hope to meet some new friends with this bloggy adventure.

I just read "The Kite Runner" last year and LOVED it. I hope you enjoy it too!

Sorry to hear that "We Were the Mulvaneys" isn't holding your interest. I haven't read it, but I do love Joyce Carol Oates.

My husband read the Hobbit to our daughter when she was quite young and Tolkien is one of her favorite authors today!

I'm so glad you decided to join the Spring Reading Thing and "go public" with your blog! :) I hope you get lots of visitors. You have a great list, and I like that you put reading with your boys on there too. We love the Hobbit here, but I'm not sure if my 8-year-old is ready for the rest of the series just yet. Maybe next year.

Enjoy your books!
