Random Relief

The funeral was good (I feel odd saying a funeral was good) hubs got to see a bunch of his family he hasn't seen in a long time. This was a good thing.
The boys played with cousins they barely knew, even though they were a bit older. I'm sure they felt upgraded to first class in the cool factor.
Hubs gave out my blog address to his cousins. So I feel out of my comfort zone so to speak. I'm not sure they'll even read it but who knows.

It's way to cold to venture out even though I know there's other people with actual snow and very cold hindering them from going out. Here it's just plain cold and that's plenty cold for me.

The house was fairly clean this morning. That was until we decided to play a plethora of games all afternoon. I was very tempted in letting them break open a present early so we could play something new but I with held. They won't have a heck of a lot under the tree so every gift counts. If you know what I mean.

Hubs told me what his Christmas present to me is. He's going to hire someone to paint my pink walls. I know your thinking I must be really stoked. I'd rather do it myself. Where would the boys and I go while their painting? What about the dog? I'm trying to talk him into us doing it and if we screw it up then we hire someone. He probably won't fall for it as that would entail him working. I honestly don't think we can screw it up. Put on a good base coat and then go crazy. It's really not a lot to paint and wouldn't take long.

I think everyone around the blogosphere is feeling a bit blah for the Christmas spirit. Myself included. I'm really over forcing myself to be happy happy joy joy and I'm on the edge but just can't quite get that Christmas excitement just yet. I think it has to do with the ikebays. We're gonna wait until their birthdays for the ikebays. It will be much warmer to ride/learn anyway.

I did make banana bread this morning. I'm planning to make a few more goodies for when the familia comes on Christmas. I caved on the pies. I bought the frozen dough. I'm sure I would have time to still do them and if I'm feeling really daring tomorrow I may do it and make P Dub's apple pie and use the frozen ones for pumpkin pie. Tomorrow we plan on making Christmas cookies too. Wednesday I'm thinking a craft. I gotta keep these boys from being glued to the computer/ wii all day.

Just for fun how about I throw in this weeks menu?

Monday-Spaghetti

Tuesday-White Chili.

Wednesday- Chicken Broccoli and rice casserole

Thursday- Cola Ham, ribs, Scalloped potatoes, roasted asparagus, country green beans, and pies. I probably forgot something but that should do it.

Friday- Leftovers of course.

Yeah I'm definitely feeling a bit blah - but it's more like denial - like sure Christmas is two days away - I'll believe it when I see it, buddy!

Glad the funeral went okay and such.
